JERUSALEM, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Israel has turned two hotels into quarantine facilities for coronavirus patients, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman said Monday.
According to the IDF statement, the Dan Panorama Hotel in the coastal city of Tel Aviv and the Dan Hotel in Jerusalem are ready to receive patients starting on Tuesday
Each of the two hotels has about 500 rooms, while each room could hold one or two patients.
Negotiations are also underway with two other hotels located in the northern city of Haifa and in southern Israel.
The quarantine hotels will be secured by their staffs, in coordination with the Israeli police, as the patients will be treated by the Ministry of Health.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Israel has risen to 250, the health ministry said Monday. Enditem
