CHINA-ANHUI-HEFEI-COVID-19-TIBETAN STUDENTS-PROTECTION (CN)

A teacher checks a Tibetan student's body temperature at a dormitory of Hefei No. 35 Middle School in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province, March 23, 2020. Among the 694 Tibetan students in total of Hefei No. 35 Middle School, 453 of them chose to stay at school during 2019's winter vacation due to the long distance from home. After the outbreak of COVID-19, the school carried out closed-off management and formed a 139-member team consisting of class teachers, school doctors, service and security personnel to secure the health of all the Tibetan students. Due to the efforts of school staff on prevention and control of the disease, none of these students now get infected with the virus, and classes have been resumed in an orderly way via online teaching.
