LANZHOU, March 31 (Xinhua) -- More than 13 tonnes of coarse grains produced in northwest China's Gansu Province have been exported to Canada for the first time, according to the customs authority in the province.

The grains including millet, red beans, mung beans and sorghum rice were produced in the city of Qingyang, a traditional production base of high-quality coarse grains in China. The grains will be shipped to Vancouver in about two weeks.

Gansu is one of important bases of characteristic agricultural products with a long and rich history in China. Despite the country's fight against the novel coronavirus disease, Gansu has maintained a stable agricultural product output.
