BEIJING, April 9 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) launched new technology for fall armyworm control Thursday, providing support to institutions of agricultural technology and vegetation protection, according to the CAAS.
Researchers have established a monitoring and reporting technology system, including an automatic identification system for fall armyworm and a monitoring and reporting system for fall armyworm species group, which can provide fast Internet access services.
Part of the technology has been promoted in provinces of Yunnan, Sichuan, Fujian, Jiangsu, Shandong and Henan as well as Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Next, the CAAS will promote the application of the new technology in training and production guidance, said the academy.
