SMEs will be guided to broaden sales channels with the help of e-commerce, new media platforms and livestreaming, while flexible marketing and investment promotion activities will be organized to enhance market development of the firms.

BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a circular Friday, stressing service reinforcement in promoting work resumption of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Local authorities should encourage the innovation of SMEs, help them expand market share and offer better services to those companies, according to the circular.

More effort will be made to facilitate the transformation of research and development achievements, promote project implementation and capital connection, build up platforms to connect the demand and supply of industrial chains and realize the demand-supply connection for factors of production.

SMEs will be guided to broaden sales channels with the help of e-commerce, new media platforms and livestreaming, while flexible marketing and investment promotion activities will be organized to enhance market development of the firms.

Intelligent manufacturing services will be enhanced to help firms accelerate digital transformation, while financing, labor, legal and management assistance will also be reinforced.

The circular called for the accurate fulfillment of SMEs' demands with the support of information technology such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and 5G.
