NANCHANG, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Two aircraft on Monday departed from east China's Jiangxi Province to the Netherlands and Japan, respectively, marking the first batch of international air cargo and mail charter services to deliver medical supplies from the province.

Loaded with 1.32 million face masks and other materials, one of the flights, operated by Xiamen Airlines, took off at 1 a.m. from the provincial capital of Nanchang to Amsterdam, according to the provincial department of commerce.

The other one carrying 400,000 masks, operated by China Eastern Airlines, left Nanchang at 8:50 a.m. for Osaka.

As of Sunday, Jiangxi had delivered 333 million masks, 3.58 million protective suits, 306.5 million pairs of gloves and 530,000 pairs of shoe covers to 98 countries and regions including Germany, Israel, the United States, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, the Republic of Korea, Italy and Japan.
