BISHKEK, April 16 (Xinhua) -- China will send a medical team to Kyrgyzstan to help the country combat the coronavirus pandemic, Deputy Minister of Health Nurbolot Usenbaev said Thursday.
"We are preparing to meet Chinese experts, we plan to create working conditions for them," Usenbaev told a governmental briefing.
The Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan told Xinhua that the Chinese side will send a medical team of 10 people. The time and details for the arrival remain under consideration.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 rose to 466 in Kyrgyzstan, including 104 medical workers. A total of 91 people have recovered and five people have died.
