ANKARA, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Turkey on Tuesday confirmed 4,611 new COVID-19 cases and 119 more deaths in the past 24 hours.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Turkey increased to 95,591 while the death toll surged to 2,259, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca tweeted.
Turkey conducted 39,429 tests for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests carried out to 713,409, he added.
In addition, 14,918 patients have recovered from COVID-19, while 1,865 are being treated at intensive care units and 1,006 intubated, the minister noted.
