Shicha Village develops dendrobium industry to boost locals' incomes

Photo taken on April 21, 2020 shows a hostel built with volcanic rocks in Shicha Village in Haikou, south China's Hainan Province. Located at the foot of a volcano, the village has been developing the dendrobium industry based on its land condition, and promoting tourism industry by converting dendrobium conservation centers into scenic spots. The village's annual income per person grew from 3,600 yuan (about 508 U.S. dollars) in 2013 to 24,000 yuan (about 3, 386 U.S. dollars) in 2019. (Xinhua/Guo Cheng)
