YANGON, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Seven more people tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total number of infections to 139 in Myanmar, said a release from the Health and Sports Ministry.
All the newly confirmed cases had close contact with the previously confirmed cases and were under hotel quarantine.
According to the ministry's release, nine patients have been discharged from the hospital after recovery.
So far, Myanmar has reported five COVID-19 deaths since the disease was first detected in the country on March 23. Enditem
