Vietnam confirms 2 new COVID-19 cases, 270 in total

HANOI, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's Ministry of Health on Friday confirmed two new cases of the COVID-19 infection after reporting no new infections for several days, bringing the total in the country to 270.

The two new cases are both Vietnamese students, who returned from Japan on Wednesday and were put under quarantine upon arrival, according to the ministry.

A total of 225 COVID-19 cases in the country have recovered with no deaths reported, while there are 416 suspected cases and nearly 69,000 being monitored and quarantined as of Friday evening, according to the health ministry. Enditem
