BEIRUT, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's number of COVID-19 infections increased on Tuesday by seven cases to 717 while the death toll remained unchanged at 24, the National News Agency reported.

Lebanon started on Tuesday its second phase of repatriating the Lebanese people stranded in foreign countries.

LBCI local TV channel reported that the two planes arriving from Paris will carry on board 250 PCR tests for the health ministry, offered by a Lebanese physician working in France in addition to half a ton of medicines offered by 25 Lebanese associations in France.

Lebanon has been taking tough measures in its fight against COVID-19. However, the government has started reducing its general mobilization measures with the country expected to fully open by June 8 according to a schedule distributed by the health ministry. Enditem
