MINSK, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Belarus reported 784 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the total number to 17,489, the health ministry said.
The ministry said that as of Monday, authorities have carried out over 211,000 tests for coronavirus infection across the country and 8.2 percent of them were positive.
The ministry also said that 3,259 patients have recovered, while 103 patients have died from the pandemic.
Belarus reported its first COVID-19 case in late February and its first death from the disease on March 31. Enditem
