BEIJING, May 5 (Xinhua) -- China's leading liquor producer Wuliangye Yibin Co., Ltd. saw strong profit growth in 2019 and the first quarter of 2020.
The company's net profit attributable to its shareholders in 2019 stood at 17.4 billion yuan (about 2.46 billion U.S. dollars), up 30.02 percent year on year, said its financial report filed to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Wuliangye chalked up 50.12 billion yuan in revenue last year, up 25.2 percent.
In the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, the liquor maker, which is based in southwest China's Sichuan Province, raked in a net profit of 7.7 billion yuan, up 18.98 percent over the same period last year. It's Q1 revenue stood at 20.24 billion yuan, up 15.05 percent. Enditem
