ACCRA, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Charles Akonnor, head coach of Ghana's senior national soccer team, has stressed the need for national team trainers to share ideas and collaborate in their line of duty.

He said national team coaches must cultivate a relationship so that they can share ideas.

"We should be able to share ideas because I don't know it all, they also don't know it all. We need to help each other and that is a barrier between the coaches, it's a fact," he said.

"I am open. I want a situation where the national set-up will have that bond in terms of tactical play," said the ex-Ghana international.

Akonnor was named the Black Stars coach in February to replace Kwesi Appiah whose contract with the Ghanaian FA was not renewed at the end of last year after two-and-a-half years at the helm.

Akonnor is yet to manage the team in an official game following the suspension of football as a result of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Enditem
