Zhou Xiaolong and his wife Xu Yan, who used to work in different cities, now live in the countryside and run a live streaming account with more than 3 million followers. Their videos about rural life are popular among audience. After Zhou and Xu made their decision to develop a career as short video creators and came back to the countryside, the hardworking couple opened up their wasteland day by day through raising poultry, fishing and managing vegetable plots. Their fulfilling daily life was not only life itself but also a source for inspiring them as short video creators. "I shoot how I live every day as life gets better in many ways. The essence of conveying happiness to my audience is to live a happy life myself", Xu said. Their baby is about to be born in June. Xu plans to record the growth of the baby by video. Besides, Zhou has planned to set up a specialty processing plant to purchase agricultural products from villagers for further processing and sell them via short video platform, as a way to help villagers increase their income.
