MONTEVIDEO, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Uruguay international goalkeeper Fernando Muslera has revealed a desire to join Argentinian giants Boca Juniors when his contract expires with Galatasaray.

The 33-year-old, who is tied to the Turkish club until June next year, said his future beyond 2021 depended on several factors, not all of which he could control.

"It's always nice to have your name linked to a great club like Boca," Muslera said in an interview published by the Uruguayan Football Association on Sunday.

"I don't know how viable it is. I have a contract that runs until next year, with the possibility of staying on."

Muslera has made 290 league appearances for Galatasary since his 2011 move from Lazio. He has been capped 116 times for Uruguay's national team and was a member of the Celeste's 2010, 2014 and 2018 World Cup campaigns.

"It doesn't depend only on me," the Argentinian-born shot-stopper said of a possible move to Buenos Aires. "I've had different offers in the past but they've always been rejected because of my contractual situation."

Boca's first-choice goalkeeper is currently Esteban Andrada, who has reportedly attracted the interest of Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain. Enditem
