DHAKA, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh reported 930 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, dipping from Friday's high of 1,202.
A total of 930 new COVID-19 positive cases and 16 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh, Senior Health Ministry official Nasima Sultana told a media briefing on Saturday afternoon in Dhaka.
"The total number of positive cases is now 20,995 and death toll stands currently at 314 with the fresh fatalities of 16 people" she added.
According to the official, 6,782 samples were tested in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh.
Also during the last 24 hours, she said 235 more patients were released from hospitals, bringing the number of recovered patients in the country so far to 4,117. Enditem
