China has also shared its anti-epidemic experience with its friendship cities via video link.
SHANGHAI, May 20 (Xinhua) -- China has donated medical supplies to 563 friendship cities in 116 countries as of Monday, data from the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) showed.
The donations include 41 million masks, 2.28 million protective suits, 1.75 million pairs of gloves, 143,000 face shields and 82,000 testing kits, said Deng Lan with the CPAFFC, at a video conference on Tuesday.
Deng said these acts of goodwill and humanitarianism echoed the long-cherished Chinese proverb "a favor, however trivial, should be returned with much greater kindness," since China has previously received 6 million masks, 100,000 protective suits and 1.2 million pairs of gloves from 302 friendship cities in 69 countries and regions.
China has also shared its anti-epidemic experience with its friendship cities via video link.
Such exchanges have significantly contributed to the anti-epidemic battle, and will continue to play an important role in international exchanges after the epidemic, according to Deng. ■
