KIEV, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine has registered a total of 19,230 COVID-19 cases, 564 deaths and 5,955 recoveries as of Wednesday, the country's health ministry said.
As of Wednesday, 1,376 children and 3,757 health workers have been infected. In the past 24 hours, 354 people have tested positive for the virus.
A total of 6,090 coronavirus patients, including 688 health workers, have been hospitalized since the epidemic started.
The number of patients recovered from the coronavirus exceeded or was equal to the number of new cases registered over the past 24 hours in 15 out of 24 regions of Ukraine, according to the website of the Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System of the National Security and Defense Council.
On May 4, the Ukrainian government extended quarantine measures until May 22. Enditem
