Vietnam reports 1 new COVID-19 case, 327 in total

HANOI, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam reported a new case of COVID-19 infection on Tuesday, bringing its total confirmed cases to 327, according to its Ministry of Health.

The latest case was a 31-year-old Vietnamese male who returned to the country from Russia on a flight on May 13, said the ministry, noting that as many as 33 people on the flight have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19.

There are over 15,400 people being monitored and quarantined while as many as 272 patients in the country have totally recovered from COVID-19, said the ministry.

The country has recorded no local transmission for 40 straight days and no deaths from the disease so far, according to the ministry. Enditem
