FRANKFURT, May 28 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 123.44 points, or 1.06 percent, to close at 11,781.13 points.
German airlines Lufthansa won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 5.42 percent. Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard and pharmaceutical company Merck gained by 5.29 percent and 4.55 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturers Volkswagen, Daimler and insurance and financial services company Allianz were the top three losers among the blue chips, falling 2.07 percent, 1.41 percent and 1.29 percent respectively.
Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 331.4 million euros (365.1 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
