BEIRUT, May 30 (Xinhua) -- The number of COVID-19 cases in Lebanon increased by 19 to 1,191 on Saturday, while the death toll remained at 26, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

The Lebanese government has decided to impose a fine on anyone who do not wear masks outdoors as the Lebanese have been recently ignoring the precautions adopted to curb the COVID-19 infections, NNA said.

It is worth noting that Lebanon has allowed businesses to reopen in order to reverse the deteriorating economic conditions.

Lebanon and China have been supporting each other in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, China donated another batch of medical aid to Lebanon, including personal protective equipment such as masks, goggles and protective clothing. Enditem
