Aerial photo taken on June 3, 2020 shows the construction site of the Taxkorgan Airport in Kashgar Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Taxkorgan Airport, located at 3,252 meters above sea level in Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County, involves a total investment of 1.63 billion yuan (about 230 million U.S. dollars). It will be the first super-high plateau airport in Xinjiang, according to the Xinjiang Airport Group. The airport is scheduled to go into operation in 2022. (Xinhua/Hu Huhu)
