Vietnam's COVID-19 cases increase to 329

HANOI, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam reported a new case of COVID-19 infection on Saturday, bringing its total confirmed cases to 329 with zero deaths so far, according to the Ministry of Health.

The latest case is a 22-year-old Vietnamese student recently returning to the country from Britain, said the ministry, noting that he was quarantined upon arrival and is being treated in the southern Ho Chi Minh City.

A total of 307 patients in the country have totally recovered from the disease as of Saturday, according to the ministry.

Vietnam has recorded no local transmission for 51 straight days while there are nearly 9,100 people being quarantined and monitored in the country, said the ministry. Enditem
