KABUL, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's Public Health Ministry recorded 575 new COVID-19 positive cases in one day, bringing the total number of cases to 20,917 in the country, a spokesman for the ministry Tawhid Shakohmand said Monday.
According to Shakohmand, 12 patients died over the past 24 hours, totaling the number of COVID-19 related deaths to 369 in the country since the outburst of the virus in February, while 329 patients recovered over the past 24 hours, totaling the number of recovered to 2,171. Enditem
