Vietnam's COVID-19 cases increase to 333 with 1 new case

HANOI, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam reported a new case of COVID-19 infection on Friday, bringing its total confirmed cases in the country to 333 with zero death so far, according to its Ministry of Health.

The latest case is a 37-year-old Vietnamese man recently returning from Malaysia, said the ministry, noting that he was quarantined upon arrival and is being treated in southern Ba Ria Vung Tau province.

Meanwhile, two more patients were declared clear of the disease on Friday, increasing the total cured cases in the country to 323, according to the ministry.

Vietnam has recorded no local transmission for 57 straight days while there are over 9,200 people being quarantined and monitored in the country, said the health ministry. Enditem
