MINSK, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Belarus reported 704 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, taking its total to 52,520.
The country also reported 1,117 newly recovered cases in the past 24 hours, taking its total to 27,760. A total of 298 people with chronic diseases have died, according to the country's health ministry.
As of Friday, over 697,000 tests for COVID-19 have been conducted across the country, the ministry said.
