KIEV, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers extended the country's adaptive quarantine until July 31 and plans to tighten anti-epidemic measures in some regions if necessary, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said Wednesday.

For the period of adaptive quarantine, Ukrainians are forbidden to appear in public buildings and in vehicles without personal protective equipment, Shmyhal said at the government's meeting on Wednesday.

In addition, the Cabinet decided to change the work schedule of central and local authorities and state enterprises, in order to avoid crowding in public transport during rush hours, he said.

On May 20, the Ukrainian government introduced adaptive quarantine measures, running from May 22 until June 22, which allowed for easing certain quarantine restrictions in regions with favorable epidemiological situations. Enditem
