KIEV, June 22 (Xinhua) -- A total of 37,241 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 1,012 deaths have been reported in Ukraine, including an increase of 681 new infections, according to the health ministry on Monday.
As of Monday, 16,642 patients have recovered from the coronavirus disease, the ministry said.
It said that 2,735 children and 6,046 health workers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Since June 11, Ukraine has registered an alarming rise in new COVID-19 cases, which the health ministry has blamed on the easing of protective measures by members of the public.
The Ukrainian government has extended quarantine measures until July 31. Enditem
