PHNOM PENH, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia on Tuesday confirmed a new imported COVID-19 case, bringing the total number of infections in the kingdom to 130, according to a Health Ministry's statement.

The latest case is a 66-year-old Cambodian-American man, who flew from the United States to Cambodia on Sunday and the testing result indicated on Monday that he was positive for the virus, the statement said.

Health Ministry's secretary of state and spokeswoman Or Vandine said the new patient is currently undergoing treatment at an isolation room in the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in capital Phnom Penh.

She added that the other 111 passengers, who were aboard the same flight with the man, have been placed under a 14-day quarantine at various quarantine centers.

According to Vandine, out of the total cases in the country, 127 patients have been cured and three remained hospitalized. Enditem
