LONDON, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Manchester City's Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero will undergo knee surgery on Thursday in Barcelona, City head coach Pep Guardiola said on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old forward sustained damage to his left knee during City's 5-0 win over Burnley on Monday and was substituted before half-time.
"After the surgery, he will tell us with more accuracy when he can come back," Guardiola said ahead of City's match against Chelsea on Thursday.
City have won both of their games since the restart of the Premier League on June 17. But if they cannot defeat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Liverpool will clinch the title with seven games remaining.
