SEOUL, July 6 (Xinhua) -- South Korean shares ended higher Monday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 35.52 points, or 1.65 percent, to settle at 2,187.93. Trading volume stood at 658.9 million shares worth 11.5 trillion won (9.6 billion U.S. dollars).
The local currency finished at 1,195.8 won versus the greenback, up 2.8 won from the previous close. Enditem
