HOHHOT, July 15 (Xinhua) -- North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region launched a community soccer league on Wednesday with a local club winning the opener in Ordos City.
A team from Ordos EM Manson Football Club, a football training institution for Chinese youth, beat Ordos Sports Vocational Middle School Team 5-0 during a five-a-side match on Wednesday morning in Ordos Sports Center.
In the region's capital city Hohhot, a total of 16 futsal sides are scheduled to start their first round matches on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
The community soccer league across the region will run from July to October, and soccer fans over 18 years old can register for the competitions, according to Inner Mongolia Football Association, also sponsor of the league. Enditem
