HOHHOT, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Cultural relics workers recently found more than 250 rock paintings, believed to be made by ancient nomads, in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The regional culture and tourism department said the well-preserved paintings with rich subject matter are located in Alxa Left Banner.

So far, paintings depicting animals, and people hunting have been discovered. One painting shows a man wearing a hat holding a dead wolf and another one has a man on a camel with the rein in his hand.
