URUMQI, July 22 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reported nine new confirmed domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the regional health commission said Wednesday.
The nine confirmed cases were in the regional capital Urumqi, according to the commission.
The region also registered 14 new asymptomatic cases, all in Urumqi, on Tuesday.
By Tuesday, Xinjiang had reported 64 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 69 asymptomatic cases, and 3,162 people were still under medical observation. ■
