COVID-19 cases increase to 343 in Myanmar with 2 newly-reported infections

YANGON, July 22 (Xinhua) -- The total number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has increased to 343, with two more confirmed cases on Wednesday, according the Ministry of Health and Sports.

According to the ministry, the newly-confirmed cases are returnees who were under quarantine after their recent arrival from the Philippines.

A total of 105,635 tests were conducted and 6,582 patients are under investigation at present, the ministry added.

According to the ministry, 280 patients have recovered from the disease so far.

Myanmar reported its first two positive cases of COVID-19 on March 23 and the death toll stands at six. Enditem
