BUENOS AIRES, July 25 (Xinhua) -- River Plate and Colombia international striker Rafael Borre said Saturday he will not rush a decision about his future amid speculation linking him with a return to Europe.

Borre, who joined River from Atletico Madrid in 2017, has scored 13 goals in his past 22 matches for the Argentinian Superliga club, a run that has reportedly sparked interested from his former club and Italy's Lazio.

"I was just talking with my wife about the fact that I'm happy where I am now," Borre told reporters after arriving in Buenos Aires on a humanitarian flight from Colombia, where he spent time with his family during the coronavirus pandemic.

"River is a club that has given me many things. I am very relaxed ... Obviously any offers that come will be analyzed but I'm not in a hurry to make a decision," he added.

Borre has another year remaining on his River contract, meaning he can negotiate a free transfer with another club in January.

Argentina suspended all football competitions on March 17 and canceled the rest of the 2019-20 season in April.

President Alberto Fernandez has said the government will only sanction the sport's return when there is no risk to the health of those involved.

Argentina has over 153,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, more than 2,800 of which have been fatal, according to official figures. Enditem
