BISHKEK, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday registered 688 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing its total to 34,512.
Among the new cases, 20 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 2,711, including 1,595 recoveries, said Ainura Akmatova, head of the public health care department of the country's Health Ministry, at a daily news briefing.
So far, 23,343 people have recovered since the outbreak of the epidemic, including 1,047 new recoveries over the 24-hour period.
Meanwhile, 18 people died over the past day, raising the death toll to 1,347. Enditem
