BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Red Cross societies in China have helped relocate more than 23,200 people affected by floods and waterlogging since the flood season started this year, the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) said on Wednesday.
Red Cross societies in flood-stricken provinces, including Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Guizhou, Hunan, Guangdong, Shanxi, and Sichuan, have sent out more than 15,100 rescuers and volunteers in 450 teams to assist with disaster relief, the RCSC said.
The RCSC pledged further efforts to help search, rescue, and relocate people stranded in floods, deliver disaster-relief supplies, and build temporary settlements. Enditem
