Topping-out ceremony for a 50-story, 203-meter-high office tower project was held in Colombo on Friday. The project was constructed by China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), which has made great efforts in epidemic prevention and work resumption. At the ceremony, a CHEC official pledged that the company will continue to battle against the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure the project is completed next year. The Sri Lankan side said that CHEC resumed operation after taking adequate anti-virus measures, overcame a number of technical challenges and fulfilled its target as scheduled. The complex tower, with a total construction area of about 141,000 square meters, is expected to be complete in July next year.
