COVID-19 cases rise to 355 in Myanmar with 2 newly-reported infections

YANGON, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- The total number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has risen to 355, with two more confirmed cases on Monday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.

According to the release, the newly confirmed cases are returnees who were under quarantine after their recent arrivals from Qatar.

A total of 118,127 tests were conducted for COVID-19 so far and 6,819 patients are under investigation at present, the ministry's figures said.

According to the ministry's figures, 302 patients have recovered from the disease so far.

Myanmar reported its first two positive cases of COVID-19 on March 23 and six deaths have been reported so far. Enditem
