RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Internacional have signed Brazil under-23 striker Yuri Alberto from their Brazilian Serie A rivals Santos, both clubs said on Monday.
The 19-year-old, whose contract with Santos expired last month, will be tied to Internacional until June 2025, the Porto Alegre outfit said in a statement posted on their official website.
"Internacional have concluded negotiations to announce the hiring of striker Yuri Alberto, serving the common interests of the club, the player and Santos Football Club," it read.
Alberto made 27 first-team appearances for Santos after being promoted from their youth academy in 2017.
He is currently a member of Brazil's under-23 team, having previously netted six goals in 12 matches for the national team's under-17 side. Enditem
