RAMALLAH, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli army on Friday killed a young Palestinian woman in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, said the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The woman, identified as 23-year-old Dalia Samoudi, died of critical wounds caused by a bullet shot by the Israeli army, according to a ministry statement sent to Xinhua.
The bullet shot her chest and penetrated the liver, pancreas and aorta, the statement said, adding she underwent surgery and was sent to intensive care until her death was announced.
Earlier in the day, Palestinian security sources said Samoudi was wounded by a live bullet in the vicinity of her home during clashes that broke out between Palestinian youths and the Israeli army. Enditem
