BEIRUT, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said on Tuesday that Egypt is investing great efforts in helping Lebanon after Beirut's blasts, the National News Agency reported.

Egypt is sending humanitarian assistance by air and support for the reconstruction by sea, Shoukry said after meeting with Lebanese President Michel Aoun at Baabda Palace in Lebanon.

Shoukry emphasized the need to work on priorities of the Lebanese reconstruction efforts following the huge explosions.

Earlier in the day, Lebanon's Secretary General of the Higher Relief Council Mohammad Kheir said that 70,000 houses were affected by the explosions that hit Beirut's port, Elnashra news website reported.

Two huge explosions rocked Port of Beirut on Aug. 4, shaking buildings all over Lebanon's capital and killing at least 160 people while wounding about 6,000 others. Enditem
