NANNING, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- A new civil airport went into operation on Friday in Yulin, a city in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

In the initial stage, the airport will launch five routes linking the domestic cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Kunming, and Haikou, according to the local aviation authorities.
