BEIRUT, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's number of COVID-19 cases increased on Sunday by 595 to 16,870 while the death toll went up by five to 160, the Health Ministry said.
Lebanese health experts have been urging citizens to take proper precautionary measures as the daily number of cases has been spurting up while the number of beds available for COVID-19 patients are limited.
Lebanon has been fighting against COVID-19 since Feb. 21.
China offered on June 11 around 17,500 masks, 1,500 protective suits, 1,320 goggles and 1,000 shoe covers to Lebanese public hospitals.
