2020 Zhongguancun Forum to be held in mid-September

BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- The 2020 Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum) will be held in Beijing from Sept. 17 to 20, the forum's organizing committee announced on Wednesday.

The forum this year will highlight anti-epidemic work that utilizes science and technology as well as global innovation and cooperation.

More than 50 activities will be organized including conferences, exhibitions, transactions, and releases, with online livestream channels available to the public.

The committee said that some 2,200 representatives from over 30 countries and regions will participate in the forum, including Nobel Prize and Fields Medal winners, as well as multinational enterprises and industry leaders.

The 23rd China Beijing International High-tech Expo will for the first time be held together with the ZGC Forum, showcasing the latest technological achievements to the world.

The forum is expected to promote the application of scientific and technological achievements and technology transactions. More than 5,000 cutting-edge and high-end projects will be exhibited during the forum, with nearly half being international.

The ZGC Forum has been held 11 times since its foundation in 2007. The forum aims to build a platform for national scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, and to be a grand gathering of global scientists. Enditem
