JERUSALEM, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Israel has launched an international academic-therapeutic center for addiction research, Bar Ilan University (BIU) in central Israel said on Thursday.
The center was established by BIU and Retorno, a global organization for the prevention and treatment of addictions, running a drug and alcohol rehab facility in Israel.
According to BIU, the center's studies will deal with the treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of addictions.
The center aims to create accurate and beneficial knowledge about addiction treatment, prevention and interventions, and to impart the knowledge to researchers and therapists through the joint work of academia and practical work.
"The center will offer continuous learning of therapeutic processes while developing the data science among therapists in an innovative and groundbreaking way to improve the success of rehabilitation," BIU said in its statement. Enditem
