ANKARA, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Turkey confirmed 1,512 new COVID-119 cases on Thursday, raising the total number of diagnosed patients in the country to 286,455, the Turkish Health Ministry announced.

Meanwhile, 58 people died in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 6,895, according to the data shared by the ministry.

Turkish health professionals conducted 107,702 tests in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall number of tests to 8,212,924.

A total of 1,219 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, raising the total recoveries to 255,407 in Turkey since the outbreak.

The rate of pneumonia in COVID-19 patients is 7.3 percent and the number of seriously ill patients is 1,209.

Turkey reported the first COVID-19 case on March 11.
